Just like Job Stauffer had promised, after the third episode of The Walking Dead: Michonne, we got hints on a new project of the company.
This time Telltale Games is going to make a game about Batman. The first episode is about to be released this summer. There is nothing specific on the game, yet, but we can bet we will see new details on the upcoming E3 conference.
Telltale Games company was founded in 2004 by a group of people, who previously worked in LucasArts. Back there, these future founders had worked on Sam & Max game series. After the project was closed, they left the company to create their own. First success hit them with Sam & Max: Season One, which was sold much enough to create two more seasons. After that the company released Back to the Future: The Game, The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, The Walking Dead: Michonne, Tales from the Borderlands, Game of Thrones, Minecraft: Story Mode and now we will see Batman game series, an unknown game in Marvel universe and the continuation of all previous games.
All these games have one common feature: the unique distribution pattern. These projects are released by episodes every couple of months. In this way a whole season is released within a year. The company was warmly met by the players, but some experts consider these games nothing, but “interactive movies”, and see no point in them. Well, let’s leave the debates to experts. In our turn, we will be waiting for Batman series, as it’s clear that the company is able to create a noir (The Wolf Among As) and a good drama, full of complicated choices.
