Rift CAT will save your money on VR

Recently, Rift Cat has published their new app, that will help you get acquainted with VR-technologies through Android OS smartphones.

The app is called VRidge and it will let you run Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and other VR-helmet’s programms, using Google Cardboard. To do that, you will need a PC with the following minimal system requirements: Windows 8.1 OS, Intel Core i5-2500 CPU, 4 GB RAM and GeForce GTX 650 or Radeon 7750.

The graphics, howerver, can’t be compared with VR-helmets, that get the image from the PC itself, as the picture is being aired via Wi-Fi. You also won’t be able to use other motion controllers in aside from the Android-device you use.

Despite all disadvantages, the Rift Cat‘s app has one important advantage: VRidge will help you realize whether you want any other VR-device or not.
